Will an R35 GT-R Fit Your Garage? Buying Checks
A garage wider than the published body width is not automatically a comfortable home for an R35 GT-R. Mirrors, the entrance angle, door opening and the way you get out all matter. Check the parking arrangement before buying, especially where the car has aftermarket wheels, body parts or a changed ride height.
Measure the narrowest part of the whole route
Record the usable entrance width, any pillars, the internal space and obstacles along the approach. Compare them with dimensions for the exact car, including its mirrors where relevant. A wide space behind a narrow gate still leaves a daily problem. Allow for the route you must drive, not merely the rectangle in which the parked car eventually rests.
Reserve enough space to open the door
The car fitting between two walls is only part of the test. Consider which side you need to exit, how far the door must open and whether a passenger can get out before parking. Test your actual routine with a representative vehicle where possible. Do not plan around climbing across the cabin or relying on another person to move obstacles every time.

Have the approach assessed for the actual configuration
Changes to suspension, wheels or bodywork can alter usable clearance. Ask a competent inspector to assess the driveway or ramp situation without scraping the car as a test. A published ground-clearance figure alone cannot describe every transition or aftermarket splitter. If the approach is questionable, obtain a safe assessment before arranging delivery rather than discovering the problem at the transporter.
Include the tasks that happen after parking
Think about access for cleaning, connecting approved maintenance equipment and opening the boot when needed. Keep ventilation and safe movement around the vehicle in mind, and follow applicable operating instructions; do not run the engine in an enclosed garage. Photograph and measure the constraints so that the seller or inspector can discuss the same space rather than relying on an optimistic verbal description.

- Actual mirror and body configuration, including modifications.
- Safe access trial or competent clearance assessment before delivery.
